“Like They Eating on a Snicker”

Check out this marketing rap on SEO and web standards:
Design Coding performed by The Poetic Prophet (AKA The SEO Rapper). He’s got a whole series of them - Love it!
“design and code right man can you get with it”.

Thanks Eric!

“It Just Ain’t Family Life”

Great post from Cineleet ‘a site that celebrates all things film’ on: The Best Scenes from Movie Robberies. Raising Arizona and Pulp Fiction are without a doubt my favorites!

The Money Pit

This movie and the short lived 80’s sitcom, Bosom Buddies, are why I will always love Tom Hanks. The Money Pit is certainly one of my all time favorite movies and I’m usually in tears laughing …even though I’ve seen it a thousand times - check out this fantastic compilation of some of the best scenes (as a bonus, it comes with French sub-titles)!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

“May the winds of fortune sail
you, May you sail a gentle
sea. May it always be the
 other guy who says,
“this drink’s on me.”

I recently attended DC Design Talks, the first part of the DC Talks series, a one day conference for DC area web professionals. The event was full of awesome speakers and great people! My friend and former colleague, Samantha Warren, spoke on Web Typography and engaged the crowd to “challenge yourself rather than focus on the limitations of the medium”. She referenced some wonderful sites if you’re in need of inspiration - here are a few: Font Shop, Grid Calculator, and I Love Typography - if you’re a Typography fiend - take a stab at this Arial vs. Helvetica quiz, then check out this article on how to tell them apart!Posted in: absorption

May I See Your Silly Walk?

Ben and I recently rediscovered our love of Monty Python and this sketch is one of our all time favorites - Ministry of Silly Walks. John Cleese is pure comedic genius.

Falling Slowly

The best moment of Oscar night for me was seeing Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova win Best Original Song of the Year for their movie Once! I highly recommend having a listen to their performance of Falling Slowly (from Letterman - YouTube pulled the Oscar performance). I loved this film and the album is absolutely beautiful.

The Shiny Guy Always Worries!

This video - Star Wars According to a 3 Year Old, may be the cutest I’ve seen in some time. You could never imagine this epic film could be explained any simpler.

1984 Kids Incorporated Theme Song -

If you were a kid during the 80’s, this video will bring back memories!

…I don’t remember it being this lame, but the song is still great and will definitely be stuck in your head.
